Effective date: August 17, 2026
Website: https://iccosmos.com/
Operator: ICTX Enterprises LLC
1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how ICTX Enterprises LLC ("ICTX," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information in connection with iccosmos.com and pages that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Site"). ICTX operates the Site for the author I. C. Cosmos. The Site provides information about books and the author, offers an email newsletter, and links to third-party retailers and platforms.
ICTX Enterprises LLC is the business responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. This Policy does not govern the practices of a retailer, social network, newsletter platform, or other third party when that third party determines independently how it will use information.

2. Personal information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Site. We may collect the following categories:
- Contact and subscription information. Your first name, email address, newsletter status, signup source, and communication preferences when you subscribe or contact us.
- Communications and submissions. Information you include in emails, messages, survey responses, contest entries, comments, feedback, reviews, or other material you choose to send us.
- Device and network information. Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address, and similar technical information.
- Website activity. Pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, dates and times of visits, interactions with newsletter forms, and cookie or similar identifiers.
- Advertising and engagement information. Information about whether an advertisement or email was displayed, opened, clicked, or associated with a visit to the Site.
We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information through the Site. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, health information, or similarly sensitive information by email or through Site forms.
3. How we collect information
- Directly from you, such as when you subscribe to the newsletter, send an inquiry, or provide feedback.
- Automatically from your browser or device through server logs, cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies.
- From service providers and platforms that support the Site, newsletter delivery, analytics, security, advertising, and link measurement.
4. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site.
- Provide the newsletter and other communications you request.
- Respond to questions, requests, and feedback.
- Understand Site traffic, newsletter engagement, and the effectiveness of content or advertising.
- Personalize or measure advertising where permitted and consistent with your choices.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with law, protect rights and safety, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Carry out a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies. These technologies may be set by us or by service providers. They generally fall into these categories:
- Strictly necessary technologies support security, network management, forms, and core Site functions.
- Analytics and performance technologies help us understand visits and improve the Site. The Site may use WordPress.com or Jetpack statistics and related Automattic services.
- Advertising and social-media technologies help measure campaigns or associate Site activity with advertising services. The Site may use the Meta Pixel and links or features provided by Meta, Facebook, X, BookBub, and similar services.
- Email and form technologies support newsletter signup and engagement measurement. The Site may use Mailchimp and MailerLite services.
Where applicable law requires consent, we use nonessential cookies and similar technologies only after you make a choice through the Site's cookie preference tool. You may change your selections through that tool. Blocking cookies in your browser may affect Site functions, and browser controls may not block pixels or all similar technologies.
The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform industry standard for those signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat the signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device that sends it.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, our legal bases may include:
- Consent, for example for marketing emails and nonessential cookies where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests, such as securing and improving the Site, responding to inquiries, measuring non-consent-based Site performance where permitted, and protecting legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Contract or steps requested before a contract, when processing is necessary to provide something you request.
- Legal obligations and legal claims, when processing is necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
7. How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers that perform hosting, content delivery, security, website operation, analytics, newsletter delivery, form processing, advertising support, data storage, and professional services on our behalf.
- Analytics and advertising partners, including Automattic or Jetpack and Meta, which may receive device identifiers and Site activity for measurement or advertising, subject to applicable law and your choices.
- Government authorities, courts, advisers, and other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect rights or safety, or address fraud and security.
- A buyer, investor, lender, or successor in connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. Our disclosure of identifiers and Site activity to an advertising platform may nevertheless be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Where those laws apply, you may opt out using the Site's cookie preference tool or by contacting us. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 18 for targeted advertising.
8. Newsletter and marketing choices
If you subscribe, we use the information you provide to send book news, reading recommendations, behind-the-scenes content, and related promotional communications. We may use an email service provider to deliver messages and measure opens or clicks.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us. We will honor the request within the period required by law. We may retain a limited suppression record so that we can respect the request. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent a response to a request you initiate or a legally required communication.
9. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs. Our general criteria are:
- Newsletter records are retained while you are subscribed. After unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record as long as reasonably necessary to honor the request and demonstrate compliance.
- Routine inquiries and related correspondence are generally retained for up to two years after the last communication, unless a longer period is needed for a legal or operational reason.
- Server and security logs are generally retained for up to twelve months, unless needed longer to investigate an incident or protect the Site.
- Cookie, analytics, and advertising data are retained according to our configuration and the applicable provider's retention settings, and no longer than reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
- Consent, privacy-request, and compliance records may be retained for up to six years or a longer period required by law.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Know whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent without affecting processing completed before withdrawal.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing where applicable.
- Appeal our decision on a request where applicable.
- Complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email support@ictxenterprises.com and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority. We will use verification information only for that purpose. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
11. Additional information for California residents
California residents may request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, recipient categories, and disclosures. The categories described in Sections 2 and 7 are the categories we have collected and disclosed for business or commercial purposes during the preceding twelve months, to the extent applicable.
California's "Shine the Light" law may permit a resident to request information about certain disclosures for third parties' own direct-marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes as contemplated by that law. You may contact us with questions.
12. International visitors and transfers
ICTX is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on legally recognized safeguards for restricted transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
We do not currently maintain an establishment in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom. If applicable law requires us to appoint a local representative because our activities change, we will update this Policy with the representative's contact information.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information by ordinary email, and contact us if you believe your interaction with the Site is no longer secure.
14. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Parents and guardians should supervise minors' online activities. We do not knowingly use personal information from anyone under 18 for targeted advertising or sell or share it as defined by applicable state privacy law.
15. Third-party sites and services
The Site links to retailers, social networks, author platforms, and other third-party services. A third party's privacy policy governs information it collects independently. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information or making a purchase.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, providers, or our practices. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
