1. Scope of this Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how ICTX Enterprises LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on iccosmos.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information and how to exercise privacy rights.

This Policy applies to visitors to the Site. It does not govern cookies or other technologies used on third-party websites reached through links from the Site, including booksellers, social-media platforms, and newsletter providers.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, scripts, tags, local storage, and software development tools that can recognize a browser or device or record interactions with a webpage or email.

Cookies may be session cookies, which generally expire when the browser is closed, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted. First-party cookies are set by the Site; third-party cookies and similar technologies are provided by other companies.

3. How We Use These Technologies

We use the following categories. Whether a category is available, blocked by default, or offered on an opt-out basis may depend on the visitor’s location and applicable law.

Category Examples Purpose and consent treatment
Strictly necessary Complianz consent records; essential WordPress security and session tools Operate and secure the Site, remember consent choices, and provide requested features. These technologies cannot be switched off through the preference panel when they are required for the Site to function.
Preferences Settings that remember a visitor’s choices Preserve optional display or functionality choices. Where required, these are used only after consent.
Statistics Jetpack / WordPress.com Stats and related Automattic tools Measure visits and Site performance and help us understand which content is useful. Where required, these are used only after consent.
Marketing Meta Pixel and comparable advertising-measurement tools Measure campaigns, understand interactions, and support advertising or audience features. Where required, these are blocked until consent and remain subject to opt-out rights.
Newsletter and forms Mailchimp, MailerLite, and embedded signup or contact forms Process voluntary signups, deliver messages, prevent abuse, and measure email engagement. Form submission is user-initiated; any nonessential tracking is subject to the consent choices required by law.

4. Technologies Currently Used

The Site currently uses or includes the following technologies. Names, providers, and retention periods may change when a provider updates its service or when we change the Site. The cookie preference panel reflects the choices available for the visitor’s region.

4.1 Complianz consent management

Complianz stores the Site’s consent settings and the choices made by a visitor. Its functional cookies may include cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_banner-status, and cmplz_user_data. These are generally stored for up to 365 days so the Site can remember the selection and determine which banner or policy version applies.

4.2 WordPress, OptimizePress, and Site operation

WordPress and Site-design tools such as OptimizePress support page delivery, security, language, preferences, forms, and authenticated administration. Cookies such as wordpress_test_cookie, wp_lang, wpEmojiSettingsSupports, WP_PREFERENCES_USER_*, wp-settings-*, and wordpress_logged_in_* may be used when relevant. Some apply only to logged-in administrators or other authenticated users. Their duration ranges from the browser session to persistent storage, depending on the function.

4.3 Jetpack and Automattic statistics

Jetpack / WordPress.com Stats may collect information such as page views, referring pages, device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interaction data. A cookie such as tk_qs may be used for a short period, commonly about 30 minutes. We use this information to understand Site traffic and performance.

4.4 Meta Pixel

The Site includes the Meta Pixel. When active, it can send Meta information about visits and interactions, together with browser, device, IP-address, referral, and page information. Meta may use identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc and may combine information with data it already holds. We use the Pixel for campaign measurement and related marketing purposes. Depending on applicable law, this activity may be considered targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, even though we do not sell personal information for money.

4.5 Mailchimp and MailerLite

Mailchimp and MailerLite support newsletter forms, list management, message delivery, and engagement measurement. When a visitor submits a form, the provider receives the information entered and technical information needed to process the request. Newsletter emails may contain pixels or tracked links that record delivery, opens, and clicks. Cookie and storage names can vary with the form or provider configuration.

5. Your Cookie Choices

Cookie banner and preference panel. When the banner is displayed, use its buttons to accept, reject, or customize available categories. You can revisit your choices at any time through the Site’s “Manage Consent” control. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working correctly. Deleting cookies may also erase the preference recorded by Complianz, causing the banner to appear again.

Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of covered sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. The signal applies to the browser or device that sends it. Because there is no uniform legal standard for the older Do Not Track signal, our response to that signal may vary unless it is recognized through the Site’s consent-management settings.

Provider controls. Some third parties provide their own privacy and advertising settings. Those controls are separate from the choices made on this Site.

6. Third Parties and International Processing

Third-party providers process information under their own privacy notices and may process data in the United States or other countries. Their practices, including how they combine data from different sites or services, are governed by their own policies. We encourage visitors to review the privacy information provided by Meta, Automattic, Mailchimp, MailerLite, and any third-party service they use.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when the Site, our providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top indicates when this Policy was last materially revised. Material changes will be presented through an updated notice or other appropriate method when required.
